Denis packed up his Stanford undergrad and Harvard graduate studies just in time to found Earth Day (yes, the Earth Day) before heading back to Stanford to get another advanced degree, this time in law. Time magazine’s “hero of the planet” has advised every US president since the ’70s on environmental and energy policy. As President of the Bullitt Foundation, he intends to make Seattle a global model for sustainable development.
