Undisputedly at the epicenter of Seattle’s bourgeoning hip-hop scene are MC Geologic (Geo Quibuyen) and DJ Sabzi (Saba Mohajerjasbi, also of Common Market and solo project TownFolk). Since their album Bayani hit the streets in 2007, Geo and Sabzi have toured relentlessly, selling out shows up and down the West Coast and touring with hip-hop legends Hieroglyphics and GZA of Wu-Tang Clan. Seattle: Hidmo Eritrean Cuisine, fried catfish at the Shell Station “deli” on Beacon Hill, the Lawai crispy ginger chicken at Kauai Family Restaurant in Georgetown.
