The Seattle art world shook when Robin moved from the adventurous Henry Art Museum to become the Chief Curator/Deputy Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the more conservative Frye Art Museum down the street. With the mandate to increase the Frye’s commitment to contemporary art, she quickly achieved that goal and the city was reawakened to the once-sleepy Frye. Robin continues to “smuggle abstraction” into the collection and refocus the museum on the exploration of representational art. Seattle: dance Tango Argentino every night of the week, the wax room at St. Ignatius Chapel, Lundgren Monuments’ death care boutique, Northwest Film Forum.
